  • Community safety is not a luxury. We’re building it together.

During the pandemic, the Great Barrington Declaration coined the term “focused protection” – the idea that high‑risk people could just stay home while others lived normally. They promised grocery delivery, remote support, and safety. None of it came, so we’re building it ourselves.

The Focused Protection Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funding free and low-cost educational and social opportunities, mask blocs, and community care for COVID-cautious families.

We already facilitate a virtual, secular, inclusive homeschooling co‑op with more than 300 families, support mask blocs giving out respirators, and help teachers offer free and low-cost classes. Now, we need your help to keep growing.

    What Your Donation Does

    • Teacher grants – paying educators to offer classes and events for our community
    • Server & tech costs – keeping our independent community hub online and functioning well
    • In-person meetups – safe, joyful gatherings for member families in select cities, expanding to more cities
    • Mask bloc grants – funding N95s and COVID education

We never charge families dues or ask parent-teachers for platform fees.
Our operating costs are covered by donations, so every dollar goes directly to keeping our community safe and connected.

Focused Protection Foundation is a tax‑deductible 501(c)(3). We are disabled-led, mutual aid powered, and always here for those who need us.
